Votes: 3 *Race: Troll *Class: Hunter *Time zone: Eastern *Please link your wow armory here: ![]() *Real Life Age: 27 *We Raid Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 7 Server to 1030 PM server. Are you able to make those days for 25 mans? yes *Last guild, and reason for leaving. SC (Shadow Conclave): not enough serious raiders, people not showing, disorganization, constant recruitment and player changes *When did you start WoW? February 2008 *Raid experience you have (please list anything from Vanilla til now): I did not raid in Vanilla WoW...when I was learning to play I mostly quested. I only raided Kara and have been in a few random raids at level 80, so "knowing" the raid isn't really what that's about. I became very active in raiding during WotLK. I have raided all WotLK raids, including, ICC, ToC, VoA, OS, Naxx, EoE, Ony's Lair and Ulduar. *Current spec/Off spec: Marks/Survival *We are recruiting you because you are a good player with skill not your specific class. Are you willing to re-spec for raids? Absolutely *Are you willing to sit for a boss or a raid? Yes, if needed *Please explain your talent build, glyph and gem choices (you do not need to be super detailed but give us an idea of what you wanted to accomplish). I have only been playing Marks for about a month, but I often raid with it and becoming more and more used to it. I took most of my spec from elitist jerks and went from there. I am currently gemmed for a agility (because I raided for a long time as survival), but would like to work toward arm pen. I have sort of been trying to get Deathbringer's Will before completely regemming, but am not opposed to swapping out early. I have to much hit rating atm, so I am not in need of focused aim and took the full hunter's mark talents to buff the raid, but do not mind dropping that and picking up other options. I have glyphed hunter's mark, chimera shot and serpent sting for marks. I have glyphed explosive shot, kill shot and serpent sting for survival. *What is your rotation? I open with hunter's mark and MD usually. Then, I apply serpent sting, chimera shot and aimed shot. My kill command is macroed into a few shots so that it is always used when ready, along with silencing shot. I use kill shot whenever it is available. I also have auto shot macroed into everything to eek out extra shots. I usually use rapid fire with a potion during blood lust. If the fight is longer, I use it early and use it again later, sometimes using readiness to use it again. *What do you use to be prepared for a raid (flasks/pots/websites visited, etc)? I always have Flasks of Endless Rage, as well as food (in case no feasts are available). I also have potion of wild magic. I make sure I have plenty of arrows and my own food, should no mage be available. If I am unfamiliar with a fight, I watch videos (usually tankspot). *Do you have Vent? Do you have a mic? Yes *Do you follow directions? Yes *What strengths and weaknesses do you bring to a raid (not your class)? I am very dedicated. I will always be on time and ready to raid. I do not miss raids, save extreme circumstances. I work hard and am always pushing myself to improve. Also, I love to laugh, so I like to have a good time. I believe that working hard and raiding as a team allows a guild to have fun while doing well. It's a game, there is no need to be miserable. I also take suggestions well and learn quickly. My weaknesses include a dislike for and irritation with lazy players and late arrivals. I have struggled in the past with dpsing while moving, but have been working very hard each raid to improve that and have seen results after dummy practice and in-raid practical application. *Do you have any issues what so ever with sacrificing your dps/healing/etc in order to better the raid for an encounter? absolutely not. I do not believe that the meter defines the fight and would be happy to do what is needed to win the encounter. *Are you open to criticism (constructive)? Yes, I want to improve. I only take issue with criticism that does not come with suggestion or help toward improvement. Basically, why yell if there is nothing you can suggest for me to do better? Do you have an issue with being held accountable for doing things poorly? No, my mistakes are my responsibility. *Please post a screen shot of your UI. ![]() Take a screen shot in wow. Then go to your wow folder open up screen shot folder. Upload it to a site for free uploads. Link that picture here. *Please now tell us what mods you use *specifically for raiding* and why. I use DBM to help me be more raid aware and alerted to buffs/debuffs, phase changes, etc. I use Omen so that I can watch my threat. I use Heatsink to observe the cooldowns of my shots and have a better idea when things are available. I also use Xperl and enlarge buffs/debuffs to be sure everything I have is up. *Rate your skill level 1 being terrible 10 being the baby Jesus of wow. Not your experience but your actual skill level. Be blunt and honest about it. 7 *Please post a link of a WOW Meter parse (the more you can include the better). To do this you either have to get it from your previous guild, or you need to create one yourself in the next raid you’re in. ![]() *When the shit hits the fan in a raid, How do you figure out what you can do better (any tools or information you use is great) ? I ask friends in WoW who have been there, use the internet for tips, and I take suggestions from fellow raid members. I ask questions often, of anyone who might be able to answer. *Why do you want to join CT? I want to join a raiding guild that builds a solid group and pushes out progression and works to destroy and own encounters. I also want to be in a guild that will push me to be better and work harder. CT has a good name on this server and I think being a part of this guild would help me continue improving. *What do you want to get out of raiding with CT? I want to become a stronger player. I want to work with a group of dedicated raiders and clear end game content. *What do you think the hardest part of PVE raiding is? Learning to trust and work with other people. Like any life situation, you have to be able to trust and rely on the people you run with. The encounters are tough, but we all know they can be conquered, we hear about it when it happens. But learning to work together to accomplish that goal and push each other to improve and support each other in that process, that's the hard part. *Please tell CT why we should recruit you. I am a dedicated player, who loves to raid, loves to have a good time, wants to improve and will work hard to do so. *Would you mind if I asked your current guild about you? You may. I have not been with them very long, but they have seen me raid. *Do you have any near future commitments that would limit your availability for raids? Not that I can forsee. I am a professor and it is possible that in the future I may get a night class, but I work very hard to avoid that, because evening is my WoW time. *Feel Free to add additional comments here: Thank you for taking the time to review my application and if you have any questions, I am available to talk over vent or in game. | ||
